6/21/18 driving through South Carolina

I remembered that I made a note about a great place to eat.  We watched Create TV during the winter and some male travel or raved about this simple soul food family kitchen. I Googled Martha Lou's in Carolina and eureka!  Charleston, SC, here we come for a late lunch. Arrived around 3:00 PM.  The restaurant has about 6 tables.  5 guests are waiting for their food at 2 separate tables. Deborah greeted me and helped us order. She is Martha Lou's daughter. Her sister and daughter are invoked in running the Kitchen Diner now.

Lima Beans, Mac and Cheese, Collards, Fried Chicken. I ate it ALL.

NICE messages and photos posted all around.

I'll have to try this recipe.

John's pretty content after consuming the green beans, rice with hot sauce, and cabbage.  He opted for the fried fish. This photo shows half of the dining area.

A big hug for Deborah and her little kitchen.

Later on in Georgia, I really wanted to buy fresh peaches.  This headed up NOT being the spot. I did buy som peach cider, canned peaches, mint tea, and a sweet grass basket.
