6/26/18. Leaving Key Largo and heading towards Sanibel via theEverglades

This is take two for this day.  I spent 2 hours yesterday creating this post. I must have failed to save it because I can not find it. UGH!  Yesterday was challenging. I was saving photos to this old I Pad and the devise kept freezing or crashing. UGH!  I will explain my writing errors while I'm frustrated. First I'm not a perfectionist however I do know spelling and grammar.  I'm explaining away my unintentionally errors to auto correct spelling and a poor touch screen on the device. My posts take way longer than they need to and I correct so many mistakes. As I read my blog I keep finding more mistakes. I'm choosing to forge forward to record the trip. Maybe someday I'll come back to correct the errors.

The driver and the local native tour guide.

We stopped at the Shark Swamp Visitors Center at the north entrance of the Everglades. It was still very hot and humid. We chose to ride on the 2 hour tram.

Once we got moving on the tram there was a very pleasant breeze.

This is what most of the Everglades look like. Lot of egrets. Most wildlife were staying cool and out of sight until the thunderstorm cooled the temperature.

A little love affection on the tram.

A lily pad pond on the trail walking to the overlook tower. Thunder in the distance.  On the walk back to the tram there was a small alligator sighted in some water on the other side of this trail. He was maybe 3 years old.

See the rain coming?  John was nervous the whole time I was on the tower. Yes, the was a little bit of lightning off in the distance.

Vie from the top revealed many egrets.  White and dark.  Male and female.

Interesting swirling vegetation in the middle of the spiral walk ramp.

After the cooling rain mor animals came out. A few alligators were sighted however no chance for photos.

Back on the highway another rain storm emerged. Another day in Florida.  Now heading towards Sanibel.
