7/1/18. Another 400 mile day trying to make it to St. Louis

'We thought we would make it to Memphis to see Graceland.  It was too hot and we wanted to get home. Not only that, the roads around Memphis are horrific.  I really don't want to drive those roads again.  

The Mississippi Welcome Center was one of the best. 

We knew we were out of Florida when there were hills. 

We made it to Perryville, MO at 8:30. I really wanted to make it St. Louis but a thunderstorm was coming and there was a campground in the town. It took us 45 minutes minutes to find it, but we did.  Couldn't find how to check in late so we ended up not paying. Not something we like to do.  As we drove out the park early the next morning I saw the sign on the way ther side of the building.

I sat back after driving and John cooked supper.
